Are you planning to apply for a C residence permit or Swiss citizenship in the Canton of Zurich and need a recognised language certificate? In our compact preparation course, we help you get ready for the Cantonal German Test (KDE).

You will become familiar with the exam format and procedure and receive valuable tips on how to prepare effectively. Together with your teacher and other participants, you will work through the official sample test (listening and reading comprehension) and simulate the oral part of the exam — helping you gain confidence and feel more at ease with the format.

Before the first in-person session, you will upload a written letter (writing section of the exam) to our digital learning platform as a preparatory task. Your teacher will correct it and provide personalised feedback.

Important note: This course does not include any language level training. It focuses exclusively on targeted exam preparation.

With our classroom-based courses, you and your fellow students enjoy in-person teaching at an Academia school in your region. The timetable remains the same throughout. Your teacher is highly qualified and will ensure that lessons are varied and fun.

Requirements

You have German language skills at level A2 (reading and writing) and B1 (listening and speaking).

Qualification

KDE – Cantonal German Test, Canton of Zurich

You can take the exam at our licensed examination centre. The examination fees are not included in the course price.

On completing this course, you have a choice of options if you wish to continue to improve or consolidate your language skills.
