Nothing against students who earn extra money by tutoring. But at Academia we want to teach languages in a competent, varied and inspiring way. That’s why our teachers’ qualifications and ongoing development are of great importance to us. Our workshops ensure that the latest research findings are incorporated into teaching practice and promote teachers’ ability to reflect.
The internal professional development programme takes place online throughout Switzerland and is open to all teachers at Academia Languages and Academia Integration. Participation is free of charge. Every quarter, we offer up to 10 workshops and seminars in German, English and French: new examination formats for language exams are on the agenda, as are gamification in the classroom and internal differentiation.
By the way: Of course, we also train newcomers to the teaching profession: If you would like to teach English in the future, our CELTA course provides you with in-depth training to become an English language teacher. We provide on-the-job training for prospective German teachers.
